Developing confident musicians

Born and raised in Tampa, music has been a major part of my life for over a decade. I began playing violin at age 11 before later expanding into guitar, voice, piano, music production, and composition. Along the way, I discovered that teaching became just as meaningful to me as performing.

At 14, I started an early childhood education program that earned me my CDA certification through the state of Florida, giving me experience teaching young students and helping shape the patient, personalized approach I bring to lessons today. My goal as an instructor is not only to help students improve technically, but to help them build confidence, creativity, and a genuine connection to music.

Throughout my musical career, I’ve studied classical voice, jazz performance, music production, and composition. I attended a music production program at New York University at age 16, where I further developed my passion for composition and arranging. Following high school, I continued my studies at Florida International University, training in both classical and jazz vocal performance.

Beyond performing and teaching, I’ve also worked in live concert production and stage crew environments, assisting with sound, cabling, lighting, and stage setup for artists including Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick, and KC and the Sunshine Band, along with numerous smaller live productions. That experience gave me a broader understanding of the professional music world and helps me prepare students not just as musicians, but as adaptable performers and collaborators.

As a performer, I’ve had the opportunity to perform with Carmen Lundy and the New World Symphony for a tribute concert honoring Mary Lou Williams, as well as perform at Carnegie Hall in 2025 with the St. Marks Lutheran Choir as part of the DCINY Christmas Event. I currently perform throughout the Miami area while continuing to teach students of all ages and experience levels.

Whether a student is preparing for auditions, learning their first instrument, developing advanced techniques, or simply looking to enjoy music more deeply, I strive to create lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each individual student.
